Terms & Conditions for Domains Registration

Domínios.PT advises all clients to read carefully our Terms & Conditions for Domains Registration before requesting a domain at our website.

During the online registration we assume that the client has read and agreed with the Terms & Conditions.

Entities involved in a domain registration request:
Domínios.Pt – Entity who provides the registration of domains .pt, .com.pt, .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and other TLDs;
Client – The person/entity who subscribes and pays for the domain registration.

  1. Domínios.Pt provides its clients the registration of domains .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and other TLD approved by ICANN through a partnership with an North-American company accredited by ICANN itself and/or the registration of domains .pt, .com.pt and other TLDs approved by FCCN, through the direct registration with FCCN.
  2. All domains stay valid for the registration period and are unique in the entire web
  3. All domains registered through Domínios.Pt will be registered on behalf of the client and the client can change that information at any moment. The WhoIs database regards the information provided by the client as the owner of the domain and this information is public for the web as a rule imposed by ICANN – Internet Corporation for Assign Names and Numbers. When the client doesn't specify a different owner's information, Domínios.Pt will assume the client's information as the owner of the domain.
  4. The client assumes the responsibility to update the information available at WhoIs databases.
  5. The client is free to setup his domain with the technical information needed according to the services subscribed.
  6. Domínios.Pt will accept all transfers to other Registrars requested by fax, email or letter. However, we will not refund the period unused.
  7. In the registration of .pt domains we won't refund any amounts payed if the client decides to transfer out his domain to another management body. This condition applies even if the domain wasn't billed to Domínios.Pt by the responsible entity (FCCN).
  8. It is the client's responsibility to provide the technical information to setup the domain, to confirm that the information is correct and that the domain is correctly setup at the DNS of the entity that will provide the hosting.
  9. We won't be responsible for the malfunction of a domain if the technical information provided by the client is incorrect.
  10. Domínios.Pt won't accept the registration of a domain if the owner intends to sell it later to a third person.
  11. Domínios.Pt won't be responsible for misspelling or other errors during the registration request and after receiving the payment we won't refund the amounts payed.
  12. A registered domain can't be removed at any circumstance although it can be deactivated if the client chooses not to use it. Domínios.Pt won't refund the amount regarding that period if the client decides not to use the domain or deactivate it.
  13. Domínios.Pt reserves the right to deactivate a domain due to lack of payment of any service associated to the domain. Lack of payment will also lock the possibility to transfer out the domain to another registrar.
  14. The owner of a domain name is the only responsible for the contents published at the website to which the domain points through DNS or redirect services.
  15. Domínios.Pt won't be responsible for the incorrect use of this service and the client's personal information can be used for legal proposes if necessary.
  16. When registering a domain we will assume that the client has read and agreed with this Terms & Conditions.
