Documents needed on .pt registrations
Currently you don't need to present any documents to register a .pt domain if:
- you fill all the information regarding the owner in the registration form online;
- we can verify online the company name or the trademark registration.
In cases that we can't verify the above informations we will request the documents regarding the company or the trademark registration in order to proceed with the domain registration.
We also inform that all .pt domains can be subjected to a later evaluation by the responsible entity that may request the documents regarding the domain name (trademark, company name, etc.).
Not presenting this documents implies the removal of the domain without the possibility to reimburse the amount payed.
The documents mentioned above may be:
- Companies:

- Option a)
- If the domain name corresponds to the name, abbreviation or acronym of the owner's name.
- Documents needed: copy of the Fiscal Document of Identification from the company.
- Option b)
- If the domain name corresponds to a registered textual trademark owned by the company.
- Documents needed: copy of the document of identification of the trademark's owner and copy of the registered trademark.
- Singular persons:

- The domain name corresponds to the registered textual trademark.
- Documents needed: copy of the document of identification of the trademark's owner and copy of the registered trademark.
- Self-employed persons:

- Option a)
- if the domain name corresponds to the name, abbreviation or acronym of the owner's name according to the document regarding his Self-Employed person status.
- Documents needed: Document of identification from the owner and a document with less then 2 years proving the Self-Employed status.
- Option b)
- if the domain name matched a registered textual trademark.
- Documents needed: Document of identification from the trademark owner and copy of the registered trademark.
- Individual professionals:

- Option a)
- if the domain name matches exactly the professional name of the owner according to his professional registration.
- Documents needed: Document of identification from the owner and a document proving the professional registration (for example the professional card regarding a registered doctor or journalist).
- Option b)
- if the domain name matched a registered textual trademark.
- Documents needed: Document of identification from the trademark owner and copy of the registered trademark.
